The Life Expectancy Gap Between Rich and Poor Women Keeps Growing

You know that the more money you make, the more opportunities you have to live a healthy life. From shelling out dough for boutique fitness classes to shopping for groceries at the trendy organic supermarket in your ‘hood to getting appointments with the best medical specialists, having cash to spare helps in a big way.

Now, a new study published in the journal JAMA is taking a close look at the correlations between how much moolah you make, where you live, and your life expectancy. The researchers analyzed more than a billion pieces of social security and tax records dating from 2001 to 2014 and found something unsettling: The disparity between the rich and the poor is only getting bigger when it comes to health.

The gap in life expectancy between the richest one percent of women in the U.S. and the poorest one percent of women has increased to a whopping 10.1 years. And while the life expectancy for the wealthiest five percent of women has increased by about three years since 2001, it has risen a meager .04 years for the poorest five percent of women.

Another interesting piece of news: Poor people who live in affluent cities like New York and San Francisco tend to live longer than those with similar incomes in poorer areas. While the study authors don’t have a concrete answer as to why the overall wealth of a city may affect someone’s longevity, they theorize that these places do a better job of promoting healthy lifestyles, which makes it easier for everyone to adopt good habits.The bottom line: The study authors stress that there is merely an association between income and longevity. Earning more money doesn’t necessarily guarantee you’ll live for a crazy-long time (nor does being poor mean you’ll die super-young). But the numbers are hard to ignore.

For further study - Acts 4:1-20

The book of Acts is not a book of doctrine but instead a record of the events of the "first century church". Acts 2 records the beginning of the "church" when on the "Day of Pentecost" those who believed were "added to the church", those whose belief led them to salvation in Jesus Christ.

As we come to Acts 4 we see a detailed account of the first persecution to come upon the church. This persecution would come from the people in Jerusalem, the priest, the captain of the Temple and the Sadducees.

It would be focused on Peter and John, two of the Lord's close disciples, who had healed a forty year old lame man as they went up to the Temple to pray.

The "big wheels" at the Temple, the High Priest and those of the kindred of the High Priest, these Temple leaders wanted to know how Peter and John had healed this "lame man".

Notice, here in Acts 4 the response to the official question of the healing. Peter, verse 8, had been filled with the Holy Spirit and that allowed him to develop into a man who was not only "inspirited" but also "innocent", verse 10.

Peter told the Temple leadership it was not him that healed the man, but Jesus, the one who they had crucified and who God raised from the dead, that's how the man was healed.

Not only were these two disciples "inspirited" and "innocent", of self-glory, but they were "ignorant" as well. Verse 13 describes the two disciples as "unlearned and ignorant men". However, they also recognized that Peter and John had "been with Jesus", verse 13.

The Temple leadership, fearing that the fame of these men might spread, told Peter and John not to preach in the name of Jesus anymore.

Now, verse 20, I love this verse. Peter said to the High Priest and his kindred that they "could not but speak" the things which they had seen and heard, they were "spiritual can't-help-its".

Peter and John took "opposition" and through the "omnipotence" of God turned "opposition" into "opportunity" to preach the gospel when they had been told not to preach about Jesus Christ.

There is some great practical truth in our passage for today. There is also a prophetic significance in this account as well. Peter told the Temple leadership that Jesus was the "cornerstone", verse 11.

This is the "cornerstone" as foretold by the Psalmist, Psalm 118:22 ; by the prophet, Isaiah, Isaiah 8:14 and 28:16; and the apostle, Peter, I Peter 2:6-8. Jesus is the "cornerstone" of our faith and has been the "stone of stumbling" for the Jewish people and some Gentiles, both of which have not been saved.

Jesus will continue to be the "stone of stumbling" until He returns to the Earth to set up His eternal, earthly Kingdom.

PROPHETIC PRAYER : Help me to be "a spiritual can't-help-it" and speak the things I've seen and heard to the lost, for their salvation.

More Women Around the World Have Diabetes Than Ever Before - PROPHETESS BUSHIRI

When you think of global health crises, your mind might jump to diseases like Ebola and Zika virus. But today—World Health Day—the World Health Organization (WHO) is calling out a condition we’re way more familiar with (and more likely to be affected by): diabetes.A new WHO report, published in The Lancet, found that an estimated 422 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes, a condition that significantly increases risk for heart attack and stroke. That’s quadruple what it was in 1980, when only 180 million had the disease.

Today, almost eight percent of women have diabetes. If this trend continues, by 2025 the number of diabetic adults will surpass 700 million globally. By then, 12.8 percent of men and 10.4 percent of women are expected to have diabetes.The report didn’t distinguish between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, though it noted that the latter—which is connected to lifestyle and diet choices—is far more common. Type 1 diabetes, on the other hand, is generally diagnosed in young children (people with this form of the disease don’t produce enough insulin).

This disease is growing most rapidly in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, where getting diagnosed and treated is much harder than it is in the U.S. Overall, the report says the rise reflects “an increase in associated risk factors such as being overweight or obese.” Most notably, a lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating habits play a part.

In short: Sticking to a healthy diet and hitting the gym can help protect you from this epidemic, no matter where you live.

TODAY PROPHETIC CHANNEL MESSAGE - MAJOR 1 PREACHES

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

For further study - John 2:1-12

The portion for our reading today is the record of the very first miracle that Jesus Christ did during His three and a half years of ministry. He healed the lame, restored sight to the blind, cast demons out of people, and even raised the dead. However, the first miracle was the making of wine out of water for the wedding guests at a wedding that He and His disciples were attending.

There is much I want to share with you from this passage of Scripture. Notice the comment in John 2:1 that on the "third day of the wedding" Jesus came with His disciples to a gathering that His mother was attending. It is referring to the "7-day feast" that follows the marriage ceremony of a Jewish couple. Even today, Jewish families celebrate the new marriage of their loved ones or friends for this 7-day period.


That will also be the case at the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb", Revelation 19:7-9, when, for 7 years, Christians, the "Bride", married to Jesus Christ, the "Bridegroom", will celebrate in the heavens that wedding. By the way, that is the reason the wine had run out for the guests. There were more that showed up than the father of the bride had expected.


The text tells us that the mother of Jesus asked Him to make "wine out of water". The truth is, that what Jesus did was not for the convenience of the wedding guests. He did no miracle for convenience but, instead, to confirm His Messianic claims. This is the case here also. I will prove that from the text in a moment.

But first, look at what actually happened. Jesus told His disciples to fill the 6 water pots full of water - but notice that they were special water pots. John 2:6 says "they were for the purifying of the Jews".

In other words, these pots had water with "ashes of the red heifer" in them. This ashen water was for purifying the Jews, for making them pure after being desecrated.

As we look to the future from this point in history in John 2, we know that the "blood of Jesus" makes us pure, not ashes of a red heifer in water. Jesus, with this miracle, took back the "red heifer ordinance", Numbers 19, the purification process for all who come unto Him, thus, water to wine with the wine, as always, symbolic of "His blood".

Remember I said no miracle for "convenience" but for ''confirmation". The miracle in John 2:11 was the first He did to manifest His glory, so that His disciples believed on Him.

One final thought, the next temple does need a red heifer and its ashes because it is not Messiah's Temple but the temple of the Antichrist. There is now a red heifer ready to fulfill that need.


Please also remember, the building of the next temple will not begin until after the Rapture. With all the preparations made for that next temple and the Jews wanting to start construction on that temple right now, it seems very likely that the Rapture is about to happen. Keep looking up, it could be today.
